As GamCare partner in the Midlands, we provide support, information and advice to anyone suffering with a gambling problem, as well as to family members and friends affected by someone else’s gambling. Gambling Addiction Therapy Birmingham has successfully treated clients to remove their addiction to gambling, in the comfort of our therapy rooms in Edgbaston, Birmingham. The definition of the word “gamble” is “ take risky action in the hope of a desired result ”. Job title: DAY SUPPORT WORKER Location: Kings Heath Salary: £8.90 per hour Role: Permanent Full time 37.5 hours per week Shifts: you can choose to do days or nights Days 7:30am-3pm & 2:30pm-10pm (you must be flexible to work both these shifts and be flexible to meet other shift requirements).

What is problem gambling?
Problem gambling is gambling that ‘disrupts or damages personal, family or recreational pursuits.’ Approximately 9 people in every 1000 currently have a problem with gambling; however, a further 70 people per 1000 gamble at risky levels that could become a problem in the future (Royal College of Psychiatrists).

- Signposting to debt management
- Coping skills to help deal with a loved one’s gambling
How can I access support?
We can support people over the age of 16 who have experienced gambling related harms through either their own gambling or the gambling of a loved one.
